Peer Review Process

Takhdimul Mujtama: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat applies a double-blind peer review process, where the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure objective and unbiased evaluation.

Review Stages:

  1. Initial Screening by Editor:

    • The editor checks the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, and ensures it complies with author guidelines.

    • Manuscripts that fail to meet the criteria may be rejected or returned for initial revision.

  2. Review by Peer Reviewers:

    • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers.

    • Reviewers assess originality, methodology, community impact, relevance, and clarity of presentation.

    • The average review period is 2–4 weeks.

  3. Editorial Decision:

    • Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

      • Accepted without revision

      • Accepted with minor revision

      • Major revision required

      • Rejected

    • Final decisions are made by the editorial board.

  4. Revision by Authors:

    • Authors are given up to 2 weeks to revise and resubmit their manuscript.

  5. Final Editing and Publication:

    • Accepted manuscripts undergo final editing, layout formatting, and are published in the journal’s regular issues (June and December).
