Author Guidelines

JISHRA: Journal of Islamic Shariah and Research Applications welcomes scholarly articles focusing on Islamic Law and Islamic Economics. Authors are invited to follow the guidelines below when preparing manuscripts for submission.

1. Article Types

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

• Original Research Articles

• Conceptual or Theoretical Papers

• Case Studies and Practical Applications related to Islamic Law and Islamic Economics

2. Language

Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

3. Manuscript Format

• Font: Book Antiqua, 12 pt

• Line Spacing: 1.5

• Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

• Length: 4,000–8,000 words (including abstract, references, tables, and figures)

• File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

4. Article Structure

Title

Should be concise, informative, and reflect the scope of the study.

Abstract

• Maximum 250 words

• Must include the research objective, methods, results, and conclusion

• Written in English or Indonesian according to the manuscript language

Keywords

3–5 keywords relevant to the main topics of the article.

Introduction

Includes background, problem statement, research objectives, and contributions.

Methods/Methodology

Provides research design, population or sample, data collection instruments, and analytical procedures.

Results and Discussion

Presents findings supported by analysis, interpretation, and in-depth discussion.

Conclusion

Summarizes key findings and outlines implications or recommendations.

References

• Must follow APA Style (7th edition)

• All cited references must be included in the reference list

• Only include sources cited in the manuscript

5. Citation and Referencing Style

• Use APA 7th edition for both in-text citations and the reference list.

• Example of in-text citation:

  • Parenthetical: (Author, Year)

  • Narrative: Author (Year)

• Ensure consistency throughout the manuscript.

6. Submission Process

• Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).

• All submissions will be screened for originality and suitability.

• Manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.

• Editorial decisions include: accepted, revision required, or rejected.

7. Publication Fee

• Free of Charge (No APC)
  Authors are not required to pay any submission or publication fees.

8. Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing readers to read, download, distribute, and cite the published work with proper attribution.

9. Publication Ethics

Authors are expected to:
